CM was born and raised on NYC's Lower East Side and although by his own admission it was an area that struggled with drugs and crime, it was also where his love affair with underground hip hop began.

Along with brother RM he began spitting his own rhymes as a teenager before moving to Maryland where he met mentors Dr. Becket and K-Skills. Under their influence he began producing his own beats as well as collaborating with other local MCs to put out mixtapes.

After being given a copy of Reason by his brother, CM took his production skills to a new level, and after stumbling across the AcidPlanet online community in 2006 he found kindred spirits throughout the world who he has worked with to create an impressive body of work.

Classic Material Vol. 1 is made up of a number of winning collaborations with AP producers like the sublimely talented A Better Tomorrow, Arkutec, Phresh and Young Chief, and it's a positive and uplifting experience that is testament not only to CM's unquestionable talent on the mic but also his ability to knock out a classy hook as producer and arranger.

My advice to you? Get a little CM in your life as soon as possible - and watch him go far.
